스탠딩에그가 새 미니 앨범<POETIC>을 발표했다. CD로 발매되는 건 2017년 정규 5집 앨범 <DRAMATIC> 이후 약 2년 만이다.
<POETIC>은 스탠딩 에그 특유의 아련한 감성뿐만 아니라 팝적인 바이브까지 담아낸 신곡 2곡을 포함해 최근 스탠딩에그가 들려줬던 다양한 분위기의 노래들 중에 시적인 분위기 - 서정적이고 은유적인 느낌이 돋보이는 3곡과 함께 미니 앨범으로 발매하는 것이다.
1. 밉진 않아
어김없이 찾아오는 이별의 예감과 그럼에도 불구하고 여전히 상대방을 사랑하는 감정 사이에서 갈등하는 남자의 마음을 섬세한 에그 2호의 목소리와 미니멀한 기타 연주로 솔직 담백하게 담아낸 곡이다. 굉장히 듣기 편안하면서도 듣다 보면 어느새 마음이 시려온다. 순간의 감정을 예민하게 캐치해내는 스탠딩에그의 장기가 돋보이는 이번 앨범의 타이틀 곡.
2. 사랑은(with 예슬)
이젠 스탠딩에그하면 떠오르는 대표 객원 보컬 예슬과 함께 2018년 가을에 작업했던 곡으로 은유적이면서도 중의적인 표현의 가사가 독특하다. 트렌디한 바이브, 알앤비그루브에 스탠딩에그의 음악적 감성을 자연스레 녹이려는 음악적 시도가 감지된다.
3. 너라는 세상
지난 겨울 에그 2호가 아내와 한 달간 런던에서 머물면서 느꼈던 감정을 여행이라는 모티브로 풀어낸 곡. 올해 3월에 싱글로 발매되어 세련된 팝 스타일과 달콤한 가사로 많은 사랑을 받았다.
4. 잠 못 드는 그대에게
밤 노래 장인, 자장가 장인이라고 불리는 스탠딩에그가 올해 작심하고 만든 ‘힐링송’으로 이들의 대표곡 ‘리틀 스타’나 ‘Starry night’의 2019년 버전이라고 할 만한 곡이다. 브리티시 어쿠스틱 장르와 하이브리드한 사운드가 만드는 몽환적인 분위기가 조화를 이루며 잔잔하면서도 후반부로 갈수록 커다란 위로와 감동을 선사한다.
꼭 아이슬란드를 배경으로 한 압도적인 영상미의 뮤직비디오로 감상해보길.
5. Ironic(choreography by JEMMA)
이 곡은 독특하게 컨템퍼러리 댄서인 JEMMA가 ‘안무’로 참여했다. 이 노래 또한 반드시 뮤직비디오로 감상해야 하는 곡이다. 보고 나면 왜 그녀의 이름이 제목 옆에 쓰여있는지 충분히 이해할 수 있을 것이다. (이 노래는 영상 속 JEMMA의 춤으로 표현되면서 비로소 완성됐다고 볼 수 있다.).
이는 유튜브를 중심으로 한 밀레니얼 세대들의 ‘보는 음악’에 초점을 맞춘 스탠딩에그의 새로운 시도가 아닐까 생각된다.
스탠딩에그가 최근 들어 새롭게 시도하고 있는 ‘콜라보 콘셉트’는 다른 분야의 다양한 아티스트들과의 협업이며 JEMMA와의 작업도 그 맥락일 것이다.
이번 앨범 <POETIC>을 통해 명확히 느낄 수 있는 점이 하나 있다면 바로 스탠딩에그는 여전히 ‘현재 진행형’이라는 사실이다.

Shipping / Exchange / Return Notice
1. Order cancellation
- Cancellation cannot be made after 12:00p.m. on the next day of the order date, though the shipment hasn’t begun.
- If the product hasn’t shipped yet, the cancellation can be made before 12:00p.m. on the next day of order date through email.
- When ordering through deposit, order cancellation before payment is done if payment isn’t made within 3 days.
- If cancellation is received/approved after shipping due to private reasons, then you must pay for round-trip delivery rate to your location.
2. Exchange/Refund
- Exchange/refund request can be registered through email within 7 days after delivery.
- The round-trip shipping rate is charged to the customer for exchange/refund due to customer’s private reasons.
- If refund is approved after request, then we will guide you in regard to the refund charge and round-trip delivery fees.
- If the product is different from our description/advertisement on the page, or you are eligible for exchange/refund due to product malfunction or wrong delivery, then the shipping rate for refund/exchange will be paid by our company.

3. Cases when refund is not possible
- When there is no product failure/wrong delivery
- When no description is offered for reasons for refund
- When seal/tag of the product has been removed
- When the product is used or laundered at least once
- When the product is damaged/changed due to reason attributable to customer
- When product packaging (bag/case) is lost
- When the refund date has passed
- When the product or its packaging is damaged
4. Delivery Information
- 1) Shipping Charge
- The international shipping price differs according to the weight and rate set by the shipping company (box weight included).
- 2) Delivery Date
- Generally, delivery is completed within a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10 business days after payment is completed.
- The delivery date may change depending on the country, product inventory, customs, and other factors.
- You can check the delivery information after the shipping has started through your email or My Page > Order Details Page.
- 3) Precautions (The delivery date may be inevitably delayed due to the circumstances below. We ask for your kind understanding.)
