설 명절이 다가온다. 대한민국의 오지라퍼들이여, 긴장하라!
꼰대에게 날리는 '피싱걸스'의 일격, '응 니 얼굴'.
6년 전, 소주 사 먹는다고 "오빠 나 천오백원만(오.천.주)" 달라며 응석 부리던 망나니 옆집 여동생 '피싱걸스'.
돌연 인디씬에 나타나 "놀아줘(나랑만 놀아줘)", "안아줘(어른이날)", "눌러줘(좋아요를 눌러주세요)"라며 쉴 새 없이 조르던 이들이 어느 날 불현듯 짝사랑에 빠지더니(승민씨와 함께) 이번엔 대한민국을 상대로 강펀치를 날린다.
이번에 택한 주제는 스펙/외모에 대한 오지랖 참견. 세대 간 갈등이 극에 달한 2019-2020년 대한민국의 단면을 보여준다. '꼰대에는 나이도 없다'는데. 이 노랠 듣고 뜨끔할 옆자리 부장님 얼굴이 떠오른다.
지난 3월, 6년 만의 정규 1집 'Fishing Queen'을 통해 록/펑크의 대중적 성공 가능성을 충분히 보여준 피싱걸스는 이번 싱글 '응 니 얼굴'을 통해 새로운 도약에 승부수를 걸었다. 특히 '응 니 얼굴'은 밴드의 송 메이커이자 지휘자 '비핑(비엔나핑거)'의 음악적 주특기가 극대화된 곡이다.
자칭 '펑크 요정' 비핑에게 록은 실은 표현 형식일 뿐, 그 음악적 본질은 '팝'이다. 물 흐르듯 부드럽고 탄력있는 멜로디가 곡을 이끌어 간다.
이 본능형 뮤지션은 노래를 통째로 건져 올린다. 주제가 정해지면 가사와 멜로디를 쑥하고 빠르게 해산(解産)한다. 마음속의 이야기에 잠수경을 들이대고 통그물로 건져내는 방식으로 글을 쓰는 美 소설가 '스티븐 킹'과 같다. 이는 많은 수의 이공계 뮤지션들이 4/8마디 단위로 층층이 사운드를 겹쳐내는 '모듈형' 작곡 방식을 택하는 것과 극히 대비된다. 구조감 없이 멜로디가 흐른다.
이번 새 싱글 '응 니 얼굴'은 가벼운 미디엄 템포에 한번 들으면 잊혀지지 않는 '껌딱지' 멜로디, 농담 같지만 뼈 있는 가사가 특징이다. 여기에 얇게 저민 듯 찰진 드러밍과 쫄깃한 '쨉쨉이' 기타 연주, 크레이프 케이크처럼 겹겹이 '더블링'을 쌓은 보컬로 밴드 음악이 가요 시장에서도 통할 수 있는 사운드적 방향성을 제시한다.
특히 이전 'Fishing Queen'에서 기존 어느 노선도 따르지 않은 독보적 보컬을 들려줬던 비핑은 이번에 '키치 랩'을 새롭게 시도하며 '팝펑크'가 아닌 '펑크팝'의 새로운 스타일을 만들어 냈다. 자연뽕 뮤지션 비핑은 "피싱걸스는 음악적 레퍼런스가 없다"고 이야기한 바 있다.
한편 피싱걸스는 지난 11월 드러머를 기존 '오구구'에서 '유유(박유진)'으로 교체했다. 새 멤버 소개는 엉뚱하게도 '응 니 얼굴'의 유튜브 티저 영상을 통해 이뤄졌다. 막내 유유가 드럼 녹음 도중 울음보를 터뜨리자 꼰대왕 이피디(제작자 이혁준 PD)가 "나는 무서운 사람이 아니야"라며 위로 같은 갈굼을 먹이는 리얼 시트콤 영상이다.
또한 꼰대지망생 비핑이 "유진이 끝까지 안오네? 언니 보컬 녹음하는데. 라떼는 날라다녔어"라고 발가락을 까딱거리며 베이스 '양다양다'에게 내리갈굼을 강요하는 영상도 볼거리다.
꼰대피디 이혁준, 꼰대꿈나무 비핑, 막내를 탈출한 신흥 꼰대 양다양다, 그리고 깍쟁이 막내 유유까지..
과연 모두가 샌드위치 양상추처럼 위아래로 끼인 시대. 귀엽게 무서운 이 곡을 대한민국의 '라떼족'들에게 바친다(고 말하면 또 꼰대가 되겠지).

1. Order cancellation
- Cancellation cannot be made after 12:00p.m. on the next day of the order date, though the shipment hasn’t begun.
- If the product hasn’t shipped yet, the cancellation can be made before 12:00p.m. on the next day of order date through email.
- When ordering through deposit, order cancellation before payment is done if payment isn’t made within 3 days.
- If cancellation is received/approved after shipping due to private reasons, then you must pay for round-trip delivery rate to your location.
2. Exchange/Refund
- Exchange/refund request can be registered through email within 7 days after delivery.
- The round-trip shipping rate is charged to the customer for exchange/refund due to customer’s private reasons.
- If refund is approved after request, then we will guide you in regard to the refund charge and round-trip delivery fees.
- If the product is different from our description/advertisement on the page, or you are eligible for exchange/refund due to product malfunction or wrong delivery, then the shipping rate for refund/exchange will be paid by our company.

- When the refund date has passed

4. Delivery Information
- 1) Shipping Charge
- The international shipping price differs according to the weight and rate set by the shipping company (box weight included).

- Generally, delivery is completed within a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10 business days after payment is completed.
