꿈의 목격 Witness The Dream


'꿈의 목격'이라는 타이틀에서 우리는 꿈에서 본 우주, 허공에 펼쳐진 바다라거나 새처럼 날아오르던 경험을 떠올릴 수 있을 것이다. 우린 모두 꿈의 광경을 목격한 적이 있다. 단 한 번도 도달한 적이 없는 장소를 만나오면서 말이다. 꿈에서는 당위가 존재하지 않는다. 땅이 하늘이 되기도, 꿈속의 낯선 이와 영겁의 사랑을 나눈 양 울며 깨어나기도 한다. 친숙하지만 생경한 것들. 한 번도 닿지 못했던 곳. 당신이 꿈속에서 도달한 곳은 어떤 풍경을 가지고 있는가? 


모호하고 아름다운 것을 탐닉하는 싱어송라이터 량유(Ryang-Yu)는 2015년부터 블루스, 팝, 재즈 싱어로 다양한 스타일의 음악을 노래했다. 라디오에서 흘러 나오는 올드팝에서 시작한 그의 음악 취향은 집안 레코드 콜렉션에서 2000년대 인디씬의 음악으로 넓혀졌다. 그리고 곡을 쓰기 시작했다. 헤드셋의 마이크로 멜로디를 불러 마음 속 이야기를 담았다. 2022년 싱어송라이터 김목인의 [저장된 풍경]의 피처링 보컬로 참여한 그는 2021년부터 만든 곡들을 기반으로 데뷔 EP [꿈의 목격]을 발표했다.


EP [꿈의 목격]은 혼자 있는 침실에서 ‘내적 댄스’를 출 법한 비트의 신스팝 “Carnival”로 시작한다. “Carnival”은 풋풋하고 귀여운 멜로디와 상반되는 성숙한 여성의 목소리로 ‘복수하는 상상’을 우아하게 노래한다. 이어지는 “달”은 멀어지지도 가까워지지도 않는 달과의 간격을 지난 연인과의 거리에 빗대어 노래한다. 무수한 별이 쏟아지는 것처럼 들리는 신스 사운드로 실연의 심연을 음으로 그렸다. “Symmetry”는 꿈에서 들은 천사의 노랫소리를 반추하여 쓴 곡이다. 맑은 목소리로 노래를 시작하지만 곡이 후반부로 진행될수록 광기가 담긴 노래로 변화한다. 선공개한 “A Suppressed Alien”은 ‘알고 보면 인간이야말로 외계인이 아닐까‘라는 가정에서 출발한 곡이다. 우리는 어쩌면 질서나 중력, 그 외 인간을 억압하는 요소에 억눌려 유영하는 방법, 하늘을 나는 방법을 망각한 것은 아닐까? 마지막 트랙 “안반데기”는 유일한 포크 성향의 곡이다. “어느 날 별을 보고자 강원도의 안반데기에서 밤을 지새운 적이 있다. 그날의 기억을 오래도록 남기고자 기록한 곡이다.”  EP [꿈의 목격]은 이호석, 피아노 슈게이저 두 프로듀서와 함께 완성했고, 이동준(베이스), 오형석(드럼) 베테랑 연주자의 연주로 음의 기초를 탄탄하게 다졌다. 


“’A Suppressed Alien’ 데모를 들었을 때 처음 들어보는 처량하면서도 아름다운 느낌에 가슴이 내려앉으며 걸음을 멈추게 되었던 기억이 납니다. 좋은 곡들을 량유님과 작업할 수 있어서 영광이었고 오랫동안 준비했던 작업이 세상에 나오게 되어 기쁩니다. 어떤 시대의 어떤 세계를 그릴 지에 대해서 많은 이야기를 나누고 관련된 영화, 음반 등을 주고 받으면서 연구했던 것도 기억에 남습니다. 많은 분들이 량유님의 음악으로 깊고 슬픈 강 같은 우주를 유영할 수 있기를 바랍니다. (피아노 슈게이저)”


“’Carnival’은 침대에 누워 듣기 좋은 베드룸 팝이다. 아침잠을 깨우는 bpm 120의 상쾌한 리듬과 아직 꿈에서 빠져 나오지 못한 듯한 랑유의 몽롱한 음색이 곡에 담겨있다. ‘안반데기’는 랑유의 습작들 가운데서 건져 올린, 이번 EP에서 유일한 어쿠스틱 트랙이다. 투박하고도 세련된 이중적 분위기를 담았다. 가사를 뜯어보고 음미해 보면 사랑에 관한 랑유의 담백한 마음을 느낄 수 있다. (이호석/싱어송라이터)”

1. Order cancellation

  • Cancellation cannot be made after 12:00p.m. on the next day of the order date, though the shipment hasn’t begun.
  • If the product hasn’t shipped yet, the cancellation can be made before 12:00p.m. on the next day of order date through email.
  • When ordering through deposit, order cancellation before payment is done if payment isn’t made within 3 days.
  • If cancellation is received/approved after shipping due to private reasons, then you must pay for round-trip delivery rate to your location.

2. Exchange/Refund

  • Exchange/refund request can be registered through email within 7 days after delivery.
  • The round-trip shipping rate is charged to the customer for exchange/refund due to customer’s private reasons.
  • If refund is approved after request, then we will guide you in regard to the refund charge and round-trip delivery fees.
  • If the product is different from our description/advertisement on the page, or you are eligible for exchange/refund due to product malfunction or wrong delivery, then the shipping rate for refund/exchange will be paid by our company.
